We had an early pre-symphony dinner here & it was fabulous. Reservations are suggested as they are quite busy. We sat at the parklet & it was nice & warm in the sun. We had drinks to start (I had the capitale cocktail & my friend had the contessa cocktail. We shared the cauliflower, liver pate, bucatini (pasta) & the quarter chicken (it's a leg & thigh). My favorites were the fluffy liver pate that was topped with a berry sauce that added a bit of acidity & a touch of sweetness & the chicken which was super tender & filled with flavor throughout the meat. We were too full to attempt dessert but the pistachio gelato sounded yummy. Service was warm & helpful.

We came for 2025 SF Restaurant Week lunch. The highlights were: - Arugula & asparagus salad. That caper vinaigrette was unique and unforgettable - Cod was perfectly cooked. The crispy skin soaked up the lemon caper sauce nicely - Panna cotta has a good mix of flavors. Not too sweet, and ginger added a much desired layer of complexity What I disliked: there was NOT ENOUGH FOOD! Their regular menu is filled with pastas and pizzas but the Restaurant Week one doesn't include any savory carbs. I lunched at 12 and went to de Young Museum later. By 3:30PM I had to run out into Golden Gate Park to get something to eat - yes I was that starving.

Great little spot! We walked in with no reservation around 6:15 pm on a Wednesday evening. We were sat immediately at a communal table. We shared the meatballs, crispy cauliflower, and bolognese. The cauliflower was hands-down the fan fav (and our server told us it was a must-order). The meatballs were also great and came with 2 small pieces of bread, so perfect for sharing. The bolognese was good, but I'd probably opt for a different pasta or a pizza next time. Would definitely return!

Perfect spot for a bite of Italian flavors after an day of shopping as the large space of outdoor/indoor options made it very inviting. Cauliflower- Roasted to perfection and topped with calabrian chili, the balance of spice and lemon pop made this a very savory starter to get the taste buds going. Ravioli- Plentiful filled with creamy butternut squash puree and prepared al dente, these pillowy bites of goodness was perfect for sharing portion size was more than expected. These 2 dishes were perfect for a late afternoon re-fuel and the service was very attentive and efficient

Not a unique option by any means, but a Mano is always a solid option in Hayes Valley and is usually lively on any day of the week. I've been here with groups of friends, on dates, and everything in between -- the location is just prime right on Hayes. I like to order the bucatini (nice and al dente; with a nice kick from the chili) and I've also enjoyed the arancini, burrata (both are apps), margharita pizza, and funghi pasta here. They are reasonably fast given how busy they are, and there's a ton of seating both indoors and outdoors. The ambiance is nice. Would recommend if you're in the area and are craving Italian food.

Definitely recommend Amano for some good Italian food. I would recommend for the pasta over pizza but all is delicious! I had a weird situation where I joined the waitlist and got removed. I checked in with the host and they said they would text me but didn't and when we went to check-in again they had a few tables open and sat us right away. I like to think this was a fluke and a very friendly waitress made up for this situation (I wish I knew her name!).

Cute spot in Hayes Valley. I always walk by it so finally came for dinner. There was no wait for 2 on Fri evening, which was great. They do pack the tables in so it did feel a bit tight and we sat close to another table but I didn't mind much. + Ordered the fall pizza with pecorino, garlic confit, brussel sprouts and gunciale. It was good, nice crispy crust. My partner was a fan, I thought it was good, liked the brussels sprouts but I'm more of a red sauce pizza person. + We also split the bucatini amatriciana. Wish this one was more spicy, tomato sauce tasted fresh but also a bit sour/not sweet. Wasn't the most satisfying, just okay overall. Really liked the panna cotta with pomegranate and almond cookie we had for dessert. Service was good and food came out relatively quick. Overall not a bad spot for a casual but nice date night or girls catch up. Good vibes, nice interior. Food isn't anything too special but there are some solid options. The focaccia looked good, need to try that next time!

Robert was superb last night in helping a very tired and strung out mom (me) with 2 hangry kids and an elderly parent after a show. I really appreciated his help and the hostess who said we could order some food to go at the bar to tide us over until a table became available. Having little kids and an "older" baby in tow is really tough. We arrived close to 5pm on Saturday night and it was very busy with a 45 min estimated wait time for a party of 5. Ordered pizza, chicken meatballs, and their cauliflower appetizer to feed the kids who had refused to eat lunch but then were hungry in the middle of the show we just saw. Robert and the staff were able to get us to a small 2 top outside and we moved to a larger table next to that once the party left and the table was cleaned. The seafood pasta, bucatini pasta, and gem lettuce salad were served for the adults. Everyone got to eat and crisis was averted. Special thanks also to the long curly haired bartender on the left side near the window who made me a delicious Calabrian chili oil house made soda. Love this Italian place for the food and the service and it's always clean with a nice and fun ambiance. And ... obviously kid and family friendly! Thanks Robert and staff!
